Dr. Thirusivapragasam (Siva) Subramaniam
Founder & CEO
Inventor of the above "non obstructive cerebral shunt" design. Worked as a surgeon, medical educator, University examiner and researcher in Malaysia, India, UK and Ireland. Presently based in Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA). He has also authored Dissection Guides and study guides for medical, dental and podiatry students in the UK. He has also written university examination question papers and also been an examiner for the above mentioned students. He has also been a board member of the medical student support guidance team. He has worked in Mother Teresa Hospital and Hospitals in 3rd world countries supported by WHO and USAID. He is a member of HANDS (Hydrocephalus Association Network and Discovery Science). He has also co-authored a paper that focuses on a novel way of identifying epileptogenic areas in the brain, thus setting a new trend in neurosurgical techniques in the treatment of epilepsy. He was also interviewed as one of the 100 inventors selected in the world by the University of Hiroshima, Japan. Also a consultant to a medical device manufacturing company based in Japan.
Also a Director of "ONE WELLNESS" Foundation which is a non-profit organization that supports and sustains emotional and physical wellbeing within all communities of Northern Ireland (UK). Focuses on assisting women and children subjected to domestic violence and abuse.
Mr. Hector Palencia
Board Member
Hector Palencia MA, LCSW, PPSC is a UCLA Field Education Faculty member and Co-director of UCLA's School Social Work/PPSC program. Hector's area of interest is Complex Trauma emphasizing children and adolescents. Aside from Hector's experience in the mental health field, he chairs and serves on many academic and professional committees that emphasize policies reflective of social justice, the advancement of mental health for underserved populations, and schools.
Mr. Michael (Mike) Maroney
Board Member
Mike Maroney was a Pararescueman in the US Air Force from 1996 to 2017. As a Pararescue specialist his main task was rescuing military and civilian personnel, anywhere in the world regardless of any kind of environment. His task also involves working as a paramedic under such situations. He is also skilled in rock climbing, scuba diving and parachuting. He was deployed to work and train others in Turkey, Kuwait, Pakistan, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Iraq, Afghanistan and the United States. Currently, Mike has retired from the Air Force and spends his time working with the Waves of Change Performance Institute. A non-profit organization that operates a mental health clinic, works with military veterans and their families to promote personal well being with healthy hearts.
Mr. Ricardo Campos

Ricardo Campos graduated UCLA class of 2017 with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychobiology and minor in Philosophy. He has dedicated his efforts towards helping others in fulfilling their potential through education. He has worked as a tutor for nearly a decade in various STEM subjects as well as being a Peer Learning Facilitator at the undergraduate level. He strives to better himself through physical health, having been a part of the UCLA Boxing Club competition team. His dedication to serve others was most evident as President to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul chapter at UCLA which is a Catholic based community service organization dedicated to serving the underserved. He has also held an administrative position in the UCHA Cooperative Housing Association which provided housing to international students pursuing higher education. He is currently attending San Manuel Gateway College as a Surgical Technician student with the goal of assisting with hydrocephalus surgeries.
